Courchevel is a world-class ski resort and part of the famous Three Valleys ski domain, which is one of the largest in the world with access to 600km of marked pistes. It’s a place where luxury really means luxury! Everything about Courchevel is high-end, from the perfectly groomed runs and state-of-the-art lift system to the Michelin-starred restaurants, exclusive high-end hotels and chalets, glamorous nightlife and stylish designer boutiques.
Courchevel used to be a collection of small hamlets and sheep farms until 1942 when the French Commission of Tourism expressed an interest in creating a ‘super ski resort.’ Construction of Courchevel Altiport began in 1961 and the ski area was linked to Val Thorens and Méribel in 1973. Courchevel became popular with the Parisian set, leading to the addition of more luxury hotels and chalets which, in turn, attracted a new wave of the world-class elite.
The ski area offers wonderfully wide, gentle and immaculately groomed pistes, many running through pretty forests. Its north-facing aspect is the reason why the snow quality is so excellent. Courchevel is spread over five villages, each with very different personalities. You can choose between the glamour of Courchevel 1850, the rustic charm of Le Praz or the vibrant nightlife in Courchevel Moriond.
There is plenty do in Courchevel, both on and off the slopes.
Skiing through the resort of Courchevel, you will take in fantastic 360-degree panoramic views from Les Ecrins, all the way to Mont Blanc. You don’t have to go too far from the pistes to view the magnificent scenery either. A simple stop off at one of the many mountain restaurants is enough to get a chance to enjoy the magnificent scenery.
Anything and everything is possible during an ultimate luxury ski holiday. From private jet to a helicopter transfer straight to the slopes, you’ll be chiseling your way down the mountain in no time. Or will you be making a way for a lavish mountain lunch with bottomless Champagne? Only to end up in your five-star luxury ski chalet with spectacular wellness and entertainment facilities, as well as excellent chalet staff who will ensure you won’t have to lift a finger for the whole duration of your stay.
